Furry Friends- The Sims Unleashed  |

Yet another expansion in the seemingly endless "The Sims" saga, this one is probably the best. As well as letting your Sims get a playful pal in the house, it also gives each neighborhood many more lots than before. This means more families, more friends and more fun. Also, you can rezone some residential lots to community lots eg: parks, shops, pet adoption centers or restaurants and cafes. This makes this expansion like "The Sims Hot Date" but with pets.
Although this expansion is cool on its own with The Original The Sims, I recommend buying the previous Sims expansions first and installing them in this order: The Sims or The Sims Deluxe edition, The Sims Livin It Up (Also called Livin Large)*note Livin It Up is not required if you have The Sims Deluxe Edition. Then install The Sims House Party, The Sims Hot Date, The Sims on Holiday and finally The Sims unleashed. The reason for this is that the expansions are better when put together, but wont work properly if they are installed in the wrong order.

This has got to be the biggest (and probably the best) expansion to The Sims since Hot Date. It has the ability to give your Sims pets which is the main publicised attraction of it. But what I like about Unleashed the most is the fact that the neighbourhoods have been expanded by a good 30 lots. Not only that but you can create downtown-like shops on the extended neighbourhoods.
Of course theres usual muddle of new items with the stand outs (aside from the pet objects) being the nice new decorative curtains for your windows which sound simple but its one of the features Ive been waiting for EA to add to the game.
Im sure if youre a Sims fan youve probably got this already, but if not than this is one of the essential expansion packs to go for.

This new add-on pack adds a whole new dimension to the game. The pets increase your social and happiness scores, making it possible to isolate your Sim from the rest of the neighbourhood if you want without their social score dropping off the scale, and the pet interactions are really good. At first I had no interest in training my pets for the pet shows, but I quickly found that seeking that elusive blue ribbon is curiously addictive.For me the best part is the fact that your Sims can now grow their own food, and make money selling it at the farmers market in Old Town. Beware though, farming is tough on a Sim! It is physically demanding and not much fun! I recommend that you have two family members doing it and they work alternate days. You will also need to invest in a cat, who will take care of most of the vermin for you, but expect your carrots to be attacked by rabbits from time ot time and gophers to have a go at all your crops. Not being a dog lover in real life, I prefer the cats to the dogs. The dogs need to be houise trained - an unpleasant task - and washed regularly. They will also relieve themselves on your patio if you have one becasue they dont recognise it as being part of the house. On the other hand they are very playful. Id rather take a cat however, who can hunt my rodents, use a kitty-litter box, clean itself and likes to rub up against you. The level of realism with the pets is very impressive. They all have different personalities and are better at some things than others. Some are very clingy and others totally hyperactive! Theres also a varied selection of pet skins. The smaller peets are worth looking at too. I had an iguana, although it died very quickly (I think the children manhandled it too often) and some great birds, and there are also fish and turtles. The new architectural features are nice, bridging the gap between brightly coloured and dull. The typical Sims campness remains in some, but there are other options as well now! I think the influence of old Town, and thus lots of the features, is New Orleans and Bayou and theyre very pretty. If youve wanted to male your house look old without turning it into a baronial seat and not been able to before you can now. The prefabricated houses are nice as well, with some unusual and inspirational designs as well as the more typical ones. The new career tracks are also good. Education and fashion are worth going into for the clothes alone. For fashion think victim and education Harry Potter. I havent tried the circus yet, but culinary and animal care also seem to be fun options. The character interactions have improved greatly. There are now a much wider range of options than ever before. Just little touches, like deciding whether you want to shake somebodys hand or wave at them when you greet the, or having the option of playing rough house, paper, scissors stone or tag with your kids is great. The kids actions have improved a lot too. They can now entertain you with handstands, tricks, dances and jokes, or conjour up multiple ways to tease you! All in all Id say this is the best add-on pack yet because it it adds a level of realism to your Sims lives that has never quite been there before.
